Recently, the subsidiary company EuRec Environmental Technology GmbH, hereinafter referred to as "EuRec", is controlled by Willy Environmental Group. Egypt (Dakahlia Governarate) signed a contract for the supply of pretreatment equipment on behalf of the SanDoub Municipal solid waste recycling and treatment project in Qahliya Province. EuRec will provide waste pretreatment systems as required to support and assist in solid waste treatment in countries along the Belt and Road.
EuRec equipment is customized, designed and manufactured according to the requirements of the project. EuRec was founded 25 years ago, the products are sold worldwide, the flexibility, innovation and reliability of the equipment has been recognized by users. At the same time, the experience of cooperation with international partners has been accumulated, which has enabled EuRec equipment to be continuously optimized and developed. This signing marks the beginning of EuRec's long-term cooperation with the Ministry of Development of Degahelye. This will be a solid step for EuRec in the North African market and provide a window for the Group to expand in the North African market.
Located at the crossroads of the ancient Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road, Egypt was the first African and Arab country to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. Egypt's Environmental Affairs Agency estimates that it produces about 96 million tons of waste a year, and the World Bank says that if Egypt neglects to recycle and use this waste, it will not be able to do so. Would lose 1.5% of its GDP ($5.7 billion a year). This does not include the cost of having to dispose of the waste and the impact on the environment. Therefore, Egypt hopes to promote the implementation of garbage disposal as soon as possible, and promote economic development and national construction under the framework of the "Belt and Road".
Working closely with Egyptian partners, EuRec has designed and built a new domestic waste recycling line at the Sandoub landfill, capable of handling 1,200 tonnes of waste per day for the production of RDF and fertiliser. In the future, EuRec will support Egypt's solid waste treatment project with high-quality equipment, help Egypt's environmental health cause, and more deeply participate in the construction of the "Belt and Road" to create a better future for mankind.
